KNPB is far more than television. Beyond our quality programming, we offer services including local productions, education technology conferences, professional development for teachers, and outreach activities.

KNPB is concerned with ideas, learning, arts and culture, and citizenship. Television is simply one of the means by which we deliver these resources directly to our community.

As a public service, we profit by improving the community which supports us. We succeed to the extent that our children learn, our viewers become engaged in matters that concern them, and our communities join together in a common cause.

Today, an increasing number of businesses and institutions play a vital role in making our high quality community service possible through their program underwriting support.  Our underwriters include corporations, businesses, government agencies, unions, associations, and foundations. In return, KNPB broadcasts sponsor messages and credits on Channel 5. We also acknowledge sponsor support on our website and in print publications, as well as at events and community outreach activities.
